Short Story Long:

Hello Fellow Page Turners!

My name is Ren, the organizer of this lil’ club. I suspect you’re a fan of reading if you made it here, so there’s something we have in common already.

As a Las Vegas local for most of my life, I’ve been looking for ways to contribute to my community, support local businesses, and make more quality connections. Starting this club, I think I can use my organizational skills to do just that!

Socializing is something I can find challenging at times, so my hope is to create an environment that feels easy to navigate for neurodivergent folks. I’m trying out ways to be inclusive, clear, accessible, and (most of all) enjoyable—please feel welcome to offer your suggestions to help me with this mission as we grow.

A little more about me: I love science fiction in all forms, and will deep dive with you on shared special interests. I’m not a yapper all the time, but when there’s a conversations about things I love the yap cannot be contained!

Thank you for being here and helping contribute to this mission of mine. Together we can all bond over shared interests, read more (because it’s good for everyone), and build a cozy community.

My name is Shelby Holmes, and I’m a queer illustrator and small business owner located in Long Beach, Ca. Recently I’ve been showing my work in small galleries and vending at local craft shows, though I also enjoy collaborating with other businesses as well. My work and the color palettes I choose are often reminiscent of how vibrant my childhood was. I like to think of my abstract landscapes often filled with excessive amounts of doors and windows as portals to the next big adventure. In this universe that I have created you might find, flying lemons in the sky, walking trees, skateboarding coffee cups, and characters that may be a bit creepy at first glance. Though, it brings me so much joy when people talk to me about my art and attach their own elaborate stories to them.
